Job summary

Holt Engineering in Fareham is seeking a PCB Inspector to join a growing manufacturing business. You will inspect electrical assemblies and PCBs to drawings and standards, carry out goods-in, stage and final inspections, and support FAIR processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• IPC knowledge/training is advantageous but not essential.
• Structured, methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical & electronic assemblies and PCBs to drawings and standards.
• Carry out goods-in, stage, and final inspections.
• Manage calibrated tools – issuing and control.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAIR) processes.
• Assist in resolving quality-related issues and root cause investigations.
• Work closely with the Quality Controller to improve and maintain standards.
• Provide ongoing QA support across the business.
• Proactively flag any risks to quality or delivery.

Holt Engineering is recruiting for a PCB Inspector to join a growing and well-established manufacturing business in Fareham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within the quality team, working across goods-in, in-process, and final inspection of electrical and electronic assemblies.

The PCB Inspector role is paying £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (DOE) and working hours are Mon–Thurs 7:30–16:30 | Fri 7:30–12:30

What the PCB Inspector role will include:

• Inspect electrical & electronic assemblies and PCBs to drawings and standards
• Carry out goods-in, stage, and final inspections
• Manage calibrated tools – issuing and control
• Support First Article Inspection (FAIR) processes
• Assist in resolving quality-related issues and root cause investigations

Experience required for the PCB Inspector:
