Job summary

Technical Futures Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior PCB Design Engineer with 1-2 years of commercial experience who is passionate about PCB layout and aiming to develop a career in high-quality board design.

You will work with multidisciplinary engineers, create component libraries, turn schematics into layouts, follow design processes and participate in reviews, with a salary up to £45k–£50k depending on experience and benefits including a company bonus scheme, 10% pension, 25 days

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' commercial PCB design experience.
• Familiar with Altium and basic placement, routing, design rules and manufacturing outputs.
• HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent practical electronics/PCB design experience.
• Enthusiasm for PCB design and a long-term career in board design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to PCB design from component library creation through to layout and release.
• Turn schematics into structured PCB layouts with design engineers.

Job description

A PCB Design Engineer with 1-2 years' commercial experience, who has an interest in PCB Layout and is seeking a career in high quality board design, will join a growing Technology Company where you'll interact with multidisciplinary engineers whilst learning from the Senior PCB Designer.

You'll bring an HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent practical experience involving electronics or PCB design; will be familiar with PCB design tools such as Altium as well as having a basic understanding of component placement, routing, design rules and manufacturing outputs.

The successful Junior PCB Design Engineer will contribute to PCB design from component library creation through to layout and release; will work with design engineers to turn schematics into structured PCB Layouts; learning and following PCB design processes and supporting design reviews.

You will have the opportunity to develop a practical understanding of RF, Digital, Analogue and Power PCB through design trade-offs.

Above all, you should bring enthusiasm for PCB design and the desire to solve real-world challenges with a long-term career in PCB design.
