Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a General Operator for on-site work in Bolton to support PCB assembly/manufacturing on a 12-month contract. The role operates 37 hours per week with an umbrella rate of £25.38/hour, rising to £26.70/hour after week 12.

The successful candidate will perform detailed assembly tasks, ensure quality and safety standards, and assist with workflow within the manufacturing area, while following defined procedures and potentially flexible shift patterns.

Qualifications

• PCB Assembly experience.
• Strong manual dexterity for fine work.
• Ability to read and interpret layouts.
• Able to follow instructions accurately.
• High attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• PC literate.
• Willing to work flexible shift patterns.
• IPC-610 certified/trained (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed standard assembly/manufacturing activities in line with defined procedures.
• Complete work to required quality standards, safety requirements, and timescales.
• Support the efficient movement of work and information within the manufacturing area.
• Adhere to agreed standards and behaviours at all times.
• Comply with all health & safety requirements.
