As a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, our client, a leading provider of defence and missile systems, is offering an exciting opportunity within Electronic Engineering (EE) and Manufacturing. The EE team pioneers advanced electronic technologies, while Manufacturing UK delivers expert support across the entire product lifecycle. This role plays a key part in driving business improvement by accelerating hardware development timelines, a critical factor in the overall development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within the PCB-A Governance Team to shape and implement sourcing strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of prototype hardware, production builds, and future capability development.
  • Lead and manage PCB-A project activities, ensuring timely planning and execution in alignment with agreed milestones, while supporting downstream integration efforts.
  • Act as the key liaison across stakeholders—including customers, suppliers, design, procurement, and manufacturing teams—to ensure comprehensive capture and alignment of technical and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, contributing to the development of strategic agreements that support long-term business objectives.
  • Take ownership of rapid hardware delivery for PCB-A requirements during the development phase, working in close partnership with Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering, Equipment, and Procurement functions.
  • Oversee the coordination and seamless transition of new product introductions into series production environments.
  • Develop accurate and robust cost and resource estimates to support planning and delivery activities.
  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate reporting to meet both internal and customer-facing requirements.

  • Accomplished and forward-thinking Manager/Team Lead with a strong track record in defining and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex products and providing manufacturing support within high-profile, fast-paced production environments.
  • Energetic, proactive, and resilient professional with the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational decision-making.
  • Excellent communicator with a natural ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and lead cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines.
  • Background in engineering or production environments is highly desirable.
  • While a technical understanding of PCB-A is advantageous, strong leadership and collaboration skills across departments are essential.
  • Demonstrates and champions company values, actively promoting new capabilities and enhancing delivery reputation across the organisation.
  • Accountable for maintaining and developing strategic supplier relationships to support long-term business objectives.
