Qualifications

About The Role

Position: PBS & Physical Intervention Trainer: Fixed Term (12 months)

Location: Remote work from home with national coverage, ideally based in Yorkshire. The role requires travel to various locations, possibly overnight stays. Candidates must be drivers with access to their own vehicle. All travel and accommodation are paid, with dates scheduled at least 3 months in advance.

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, to meet business needs.

About you

This is an opportunity for a proactive PBS & Physical Intervention Trainer to join an evolving care company and be part of our team.

You will need:

  1. NVQ Level 5 qualification in PBS or equivalent/above (or willingness to complete)
  2. Professional experience working with children and/or adults with Autism, learning disabilities, and behaviors of concern. At least 1 year of experience in a PBS role or equivalent.
  3. In-depth knowledge of support needs for people with Autism, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. Understanding of PBS, Active Support, Mental Capacity, and their application in practice.
  4. Responsibility for delivering face-to-face RRN accredited training programs outlined by NAPPI UK to ensure organizational training compliance.
  5. Skills to equip teams with the ability to manage behavior safely, respectfully, and within legal and organizational guidelines.
  6. The trainer will promote proactive strategies to minimize restrictive practices and ensure safety and well-being.
  7. Expected to deliver 3-4 days of training per week, with an additional day for administrative tasks.
