Role Description:
As a Payroll Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Comprehensive payroll processing within a payroll bureau environment
- Managing attachment of earnings orders and resolving complex payroll issues
- Utilising payroll software, processing P60s, and understanding P11D procedures
- General computer tasks using Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Providing excellent written communication and customer service
- Confidently handling client interactions over the phone and attending client premises when necessary
- Efficiently managing time and working independently on complex assignments
- Following standard procedures with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Communicating effectively at all levels within the firm and with clients
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in payroll processing within a payroll bureau environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and the ability to find solutions to complex issues
- Proficiency in payroll software and familiarity with P60 and P11D procedures
- Good general computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills with a confident approach to client interactions
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with a methodical approach to assignments
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Personable and deferential nature for effective communication
