Job Title: Experienced Payroll Technician

About Us:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Technician to join our busy payroll bureau in Ely. If you have a strong background in payroll processing and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.

Role Description:

As a Payroll Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Comprehensive payroll processing within a payroll bureau environment
  • Managing attachment of earnings orders and resolving complex payroll issues
  • Utilising payroll software, processing P60s, and understanding P11D procedures
  • General computer tasks using Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Providing excellent written communication and customer service
  • Confidently handling client interactions over the phone and attending client premises when necessary
  • Efficiently managing time and working independently on complex assignments
  • Following standard procedures with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communicating effectively at all levels within the firm and with clients
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in payroll processing within a payroll bureau environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and the ability to find solutions to complex issues
  • Proficiency in payroll software and familiarity with P60 and P11D procedures
  • Good general computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a confident approach to client interactions
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with a methodical approach to assignments
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Personable and deferential nature for effective communication
