Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a Payroll Supervisor for a 12-month FTC starting in September. The role is 4 days a week (30 hours) and is fully office-based.

You will own payroll for stores and head office teams, onboarding and employee records, and support day-to-day HR queries in a fast-paced retail environment. Key responsibilities include accurate payroll processing, handling changes, HMRC compliance, and data management in ITrent.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a payroll team.
• Knowledge of pension schemes and payroll legislation.
• Strong Excel skills and data accuracy.
• Experience with ITrent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
• Manage payroll changes including new starters, leavers, and contract amendments.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance for payment approvals.
• Maintain employee records in the ITrent Payroll system and ensure data accuracy.
• Review end-to-end payroll processes of the team.
