Job summary

Pertemps SSDC DDT is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join the People & Payroll Services team. The role is hybrid across Wales, 37 hours per week, paying £15.59 per hour on a fixed-term contract through 31 January 2027.

You will handle payroll processing, admin changes to terms, parental leave, sickness absence, pensions, and respond to HR/payroll queries while producing management information and supporting data analysis. Experience in shared services or payroll environment is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a shared services, payroll, or administrative environment.
• Knowledge of HR/payroll systems and software.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
• Accurate data entry and good IT proficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
