Job description

Role: Payroll Supervisor FTC

Location: Hillington (Office based)

Looking to elevate your career as a Payroll Supervisor for an award-winning, ambitious employer?

You will have responsibility for all aspects of payroll on a weekly and monthly basis with the payroll team reporting into the Financial Controller.

This opportunity requires a confident professional to work in cross-collaboration with different departments.

Our client is ideally looking for someone with experience in Payroll and has excellent experience in Microsoft Office who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to thrive within a high-profile role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process weekly and monthly salaries in line with monthly payroll deadlines for a diverse employee base.
  2. Calculate and process statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, maternity, paternity, adoption, sickness, student loans, and pension contributions.
  3. Explain calculations to managers and resolve queries.
  4. Advise on any changes to UK payroll tax rules.
  5. Check and process timesheets.
  6. Ensure that all employee pay is processed accurately and on time.
  7. Process new starters, changes and leavers.
  8. Publish P45's and payslips.
  9. Collate data and prepare reports.
  10. Produce payroll reports.
Experience:
  1. Proven experience in a Payroll Supervisor position or a similar role (minimum of 3 years).
  2. Proficiency in payroll software.
  3. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  4. Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Excellent Excel skills.
  8. Strong organisational skills.
