Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) in Coventry seeks a Payroll Supervisor to lead a payroll team, ensure efficient pay runs and benefits administration, and drive continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.

You will work closely with stakeholders, manage payroll queries, and ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance. iTrent experience and CIPP would be beneficial; the role offers development opportunities within a large, supportive organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll teams and providing guidance on payroll legislation and processes.
• Extensive payroll management with multiple pay runs and reconciliation of employee benefits (PMI, P11D, expenses, car/mileage, vouchers, pension schemes).
• Attention to detail; ensure payroll reporting is accurate and year-end audits are completed with GDPR compliance.
• Experience managing payroll enquiries with strong verbal and written communication to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with payroll programs; iTrent is a plus.

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Working Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1730 with flex start/ finish

We are seeking a motivated Payroll Supervisor to join our team in Coventry, focused on ensuring efficiency of all pay runs and payroll benefit administration, alongside the supervision of your team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a track record of dealing with high volumes and continuous improvement within the Payroll sector.

Requirements

• Experience in leading payroll teams, providing guidance and knowledge of payroll legislation and processes whilst effectively managing performance.
• Extensive payroll management experience, with multiple pay runs & reconciliation of employee benefits (PMI, P11D, ExpenseIn, Company car/mileage, childcare vouchers, salary sacrifice, pension schemes).
• Attention to detail - checking for errors and ensuring payroll reporting is accurate and submitted on time, including year-end audits whilst ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Previous management of payroll enquiries in a large-scale business, with strong verbal and written communication to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to hit the ground running, pick up new information and be inquisitive / use initiative to find data required
• Experience of iTrent would be beneficial, or similar payroll programs.
• CIPP qualifications would be beneficial.
