Job description

Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Remote with once a month in London
Salary: GBP35,000-GBP40,000
Contract: Permanent

JGA are partnered with an exciting, scale-up business who provide a range of Payroll, Pension and Compliance Services to their expanding client base.


Responsibilities:
  1. Process payroll accurately and timely for clients.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  3. Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity in our systems.
  4. Handle payroll queries from employers, providing timely and accurate responses.
  5. Collaborate with the product team to identify areas for improvement in the software and processes.
  6. Assist with testing and implementation of software updates and enhancements.
  7. Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments as needed.
  8. Assist with the administration of workplace pension schemes, including enrolment, contributions, and reporting.
  9. Host client onboarding calls as well as potential client calls to explain our payroll offering and demo our system.
  10. Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
  2. Experience with workplace pension administration.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  6. Comfortable working independently as the sole payroll administrator.
  7. Ability to work well under pressure.
  8. Attentive to detail and organized.
  9. Must be self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage several jobs at one time.
