We’re on the lookout for a Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team in Manchester at DWF. Whether you're someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes or you're looking to gain experience and grow your career in payroll, this could be the perfect opportunity.

In this role, you’ll be helping to support payroll operations for around 4,000 colleagues across the globe. You’ll work closely with our Group Payroll Manager and three Payroll Specialists to ensure everything is accurate, compliant, and delivered with care.

This is a hybrid position, with just two days a week in our Manchester office—giving you the flexibility to balance work and life.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the end-to-end processing of multiple monthly payrolls across various jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the Payroll Specialists with data entry, reconciliations, and audit checks.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and internal departments.
  • Liaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment on employee data and reporting.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including P60s, P11Ds, and other statutory reporting.
  • Support compliance with HMRC and international payroll regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.

  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally in a professional services or multi-country setting
  • Comfortable working with numbers and evaluating data, with a keen eye for detail
  • Clear and influential communicator who enjoys building positive working relationships
  • Enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Open to change and ready to take on new challenges with a positive mindset

Desirable

  • Familiarity with payroll software or systems (e.g. ADP or similar) – not essential, as full training will be provided
  • An understanding of UK payroll legislation; any exposure to international payroll is a plus
