Job description

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a Pharmaceutical & healthcare company based in Warwick (CV34).

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home per week. The salary is £42,000 per annum, with a Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 schedule. Benefits include 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays), a Pension Scheme, Onsite parking, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), and access to a Discount & Offers Platform. This is an 11 Month Fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven experience in payroll and pensions. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for running payroll end-to-end, managing pensions (including Auto-Enrolment), and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse, reconcile, and validate payroll and pension data to ensure compliance.
  • Run payrolls end-to-end, including pensions administration.
  • Perform audits and reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
  • Support system upgrades, implementations, and UAT testing.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track payroll performance.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline data flows.
  • Stay updated with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation.

You will also be involved in a project to implement a new HR & Payroll platform, moving from Itrent to Dayforce, working with stakeholders to lead parallel runs, reconcile payroll and pension data between systems, perform UAT testing, and validate calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ideally, you will be an experienced Payroll Specialist, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
