Job summary

Macmillan Davies partners with a Financial Services organisation to recruit a Payroll & Pensions Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week in London. This is a hands-on, multi‑company payroll role across UK and Ireland.

Key requirements include 7–10 years’ experience as a Payroll & Pensions Manager, essential payroll experience in Insurance/Financial Services, CIPP qualification or study, strong PAYE/NI knowledge, and advanced Excel.

• Knowledge of PAYE, NI, statutory payments, salary sacrifice and pension legislation
• Experience managing payroll across multiple companies
• Experience with payroll/HR systems (Cascade/IRIS preferred)

• SMP, SAP, SSP, SPP, ShPP and other statutory payments

• Payroll reconciliations, BACS checks and year-end procedures
• Auto-enrolment, opt-ins/opt-outs and re-enrolment
• Pension scheme compliance and communications
• Managing payroll and pension queries
• Supporting new company/payroll set-ups and ad hoc projects

I'm working with an established Financial Services organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll & Pensions Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on role managing payroll and pensions across UK and Irish employees and 13 companies.

Key requirements:

7-10 years' experience operating as a Payroll & Pensions Manager

Essential: Payroll industry experience within Insurance or Financial Services

CIPP qualified or currently studying towards CIPP

Strong UK payroll and pension administration experience

Detailed knowledge of PAYE, NI, statutory payments, salary sacrifice and pension legislation

Experience managing payroll across multiple companies

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with payroll/HR systems - Cascade/IRIS would be ideal

Confident dealing with employees, Directors and senior stakeholders

Highly organised, accurate and comfortable working to tight deadlines

The role will include:

CIPP qualified and eligible to live and work in the UK.
