Job description

We are currently working with an organisation in the Education sector who have an excellent reputation & a fantastic working environment. The Payroll & Pensions Manager will report into the Financial Controller and work closely with HR and Finance teams to deliver excellent payroll and pension services across the group.


Responsibilities include:
  1. Manage the full payroll & pension service across 4 payrolls
  2. Challenge discrepancies in the payroll system
  3. Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure payroll changes are managed
  4. Responsible for ensuring all statutory and pension returns are submitted to meet legislative requirements
  5. Liaise and build relationships with pension providers
  6. Processing of multiple pension schemes including Teachers Pension Scheme & Defined Contribution pension
  7. Line management of the Payroll Officer

The successful candidate will have excellent UK payroll legislation and manual calculation experience. Experience within a multiple payroll environment and working knowledge of Defined Contribution pensions is essential. CIPP qualification is highly desirable.


This role will be fully office based with a 35 hour week. Some excellent benefits on offer including 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, enrolment into the organisation pension scheme (5% employee / 7.5% employer), onsite lunch and access to gym, swimming & tennis facilities.
