What this job offers

This is an exciting opportunity to join Remote as a Payroll Specialist Lead within our Global Payroll Operations Team.

What you bring

• End-to-end payroll processing experience, either in-house or with a payroll service provider
• Knowledge of payroll best practices
• Proficiency in software tools like Excel / Google Suite
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international environment
• Passion for improving and streamlining work processes
• Understanding of asynchronous work dynamics
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Remote work experience is a plus, but not required
• Experience with AFAS payroll software is a plus, but not required

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll in the Netherlands
• Manage relationships with stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering
• Process full payroll cycles, statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance
• Ensure data integrity and quality
• Handle payroll journals and reconciliations
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs
• Implement and improve payroll processes
• Mentor and support payroll specialists
• Back up regional managers during absences

Compensation Philosophy

Remote fosters internal mobility and guarantees pay equity. Compensation reviews are case-by-case. Our salary range for this role is $35,000 - $74,000 USD, based on factors like location, skills, experience, and market demands. Actual pay depends on these factors and may vary.
