Payroll Onboarding Team Leader

Job Purpose

Your role as the Payroll Onboarding Team Leader involves leading and managing onboarding processes and projects for payroll customers, ensuring a smooth transition when going live with BrightHR Payroll, managing your team, and leading them to success.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead your team, including conducting 1:1s and performance reviews.
  • Plan and execute project plans for payroll implementations, within budget and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, organizing your and your team's time effectively.
  • Educate and guide customers on services and system features clearly.
  • Ensure adherence to BrightHR Payroll SLAs and OLAs.
  • Set and meet KPIs for your team and service.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Update and maintain Local Work Instructions and process maps.
  • Accurately update CRM systems with key contact and product information.
  • Arrange onboarding sessions for clients in line with their HR onboarding schedules.
  • Manage team absence and re-allocate calls proactively.
  • Monitor team productivity metrics daily and report by 10 am.
  • Conduct monthly 121s and provide on-the-job training.
  • Plan and execute onboarding for new team members.
  • Report on trends and team performance.
  • Perform monthly file checks and call audits.
  • Achieve go-live targets of 16-20 onboardings per month, re-balancing workloads as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong people management skills, with experience in similar roles.
  • Customer onboarding experience, preferably in Payroll or Finance.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations (desirable).
  • Experience with SaaS platforms, HR, and Payroll systems (desirable).
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to report team performance effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to build positive client relationships.
  • Accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ambassadorial qualities for BrightHR brand.
