Job Description
  • Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 240 staff on a fortnightly basis
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
  • Prepare and distribute payslips and other payroll documentation
  • Address payroll-related queries and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits
  • Ensure correct application of awards, enterprise agreements, and statutory requirements
  • Support payroll-related data entry and documentation for the finance team
  • Collaborate with HR and the CEO on contract updates and employee communications
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and implement efficiencies
The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Previous experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll software (Employment Hero, KeyPay or ELMO)
  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office software.
