Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including tax codes, pay rates, and hours worked.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deductions such as pensions, tax, and national insurance contributions.
  • Support the reconciliation of payroll data and resolve discrepancies where necessary.
  • Prepare payroll reports and summaries for internal review and audits.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards at all times.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing or a related role within the accounting and finance field.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
  • Experience with weekly and monthly payroll
