Job description

We have a vacancy in our Payroll Team and are seeking an enthusiastic individual with previous payroll knowledge and experience to join us. If you believe this describes you, we want to hear from you!

Our team provides payroll services to over 10,000 individuals, including employees, pensioners, councillors, contractors (IR35), and external payrolls for third-party organizations.

We are looking for someone who is diligent, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and adaptable to change. The ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet competing priorities is essential, along with experience working flexibly based on service needs. Experience in working with customers to resolve complex issues pragmatically is also important.

Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience in a payroll setting or a busy environment with strict deadlines
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail when inputting and verifying documentation
  • Knowledge of under/overpayment calculations, statutory payments, and deductions
  • Significant understanding of PAYE legislation and HMRC requirements, with the ability to interpret and advise accordingly
  • Experience delivering quality, customer-focused services
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and desirable experience with MHR iTrent
