Overview

Location: Louth

Salary: circa £30,000

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer with some knowledge around HR functions and strong administration skills. As Payroll Officer & HR Support, you will manage the payroll function, including processing wages for all employees across two sites. You will oversee related tasks such as national insurance, tax, and pension contributions, ensuring the payroll process is administered accurately, efficiently, and on time. In addition, you will provide administrative support to the HR department.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for weekly and monthly payroll across 2 sites
  • Liaise with HR to accurately receive and process all relevant documentation relating to new starters, leavers and any other contractual changes
  • Ensure accuracy of pay, deductions, pensions, and benefits in line with legislation
  • Calculation of employees\' statutory entitlements including SSP, SMP, SPP, and other leave-related payments
  • Ensure RTI reports are made in accordance with HMRC deadlines
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly data analysis
  • Liaise with the appointed pension provider to ensure pension schemes are managed in full compliance with scheme rules and specifications
  • Submission of all relevant payroll reports to senior management accurately and on a timely basis
  • Liaise with internal departments and external bodies (e.g., auditors, tax authorities, benefits providers) on payroll-related matters
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to process improvements in payroll systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist HR with administrative tasks including onboarding and drafting HR documents
