Job Opportunity: Payroll Professional (Fixed Term)

I am working alongside a large business consultancy firm based in the Leeds area, seeking to add a Payroll professional to their established team on a fixed-term basis.

The company is experiencing rapid growth and requires an experienced candidate to support their busy payroll team for a period of 12 months. This role has been created during a transition period and is an addition to the existing team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Technical payroll skills: including proficiency with relevant payroll systems and Excel.
  2. Support: assist the payroll department with high-volume monthly payroll processing.
  3. Experience: prior experience working on high-volume payroll, either in practice or within an organization.
  4. Stakeholder support: provide comprehensive advice to stakeholders regarding payroll queries.
  5. Deadline management: ensure all payments, including pension contributions, are made within set deadlines.
  6. Focus areas: pensions, P11Ds, and HMRC submissions.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary up to £32,000

Working Hours:

Normal hours are 37.5 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a flexitime option and a 1-hour unpaid break.
