What You'll Be Doing:

As Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across multiple entities. You'll be a key partner to the Finance Director, driving process improvements, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring our people are paid correctly and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple sites
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submissions to HMRC, pension providers, and employees
  • Preparing and presenting payroll reports to senior leadership
  • Collaborating with HR on pay reviews, benefits, and compliance
  • Conducting regular payroll reviews with Area Managers to support financial planning
  • Leading pension scheme administration and staying ahead of legislative changes
  • Overseeing journal postings, reconciliations, and month-end payroll processes
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Maintaining strong documentation and audit compliance
Pay And Rewards:
  • £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience

What We're Looking For:
  • Ideally an immediate starter/short notice
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, ideally within a multi-entity environment
  • Proficiency in Xero and strong Excel skills
  • A solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and best practices
  • Experience working with HR/payroll systems and ensuring data integrity
  • Detail-focused, highly organised, and confident handling deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach to continuous improvement
