Job description

CMA Recruitment Group is working with a large, people-focused business that prides itself on delivering outstanding experiences to its customers, colleagues, and partners—because it all starts with their people. They have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join the team and lead their in-house payroll function, managing two direct reports. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll across the business, reporting directly to the HR Director and working closely with both HR and Finance.

What will the Payroll Manager role involve?
  1. Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance
  2. Lead and support the payroll team
  3. Maintain payroll records and reporting
  4. Handle pension admin, HMRC submissions, P11Ds, P60s, and gender pay gap reports
  5. Act as the go-to expert for payroll queries and process improvements
  6. Collaborate with HR and Accounts to ensure accurate colleague data
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Manager vacancy:
  1. Previous experience as a Payroll Manager or Team Leader
  2. Experience processing payroll within a sales commission or bonus set up
  3. Strong knowledge of PAYE, pensions, HMRC, and payroll legislation
  4. Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems (CIPHR preferred)
  5. High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to meet tight deadlines
