A leading organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated Payroll Manager to lead the delivery of a high-quality and customer-focused payroll service. This is a critical role within the HR team, responsible for ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, efficiently, and compliantly. The role is remote, with occasional office attendance required on an ad-hoc basis.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the payroll team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in payroll systems and integration projects, providing input to decision-making.
  • Oversee the monthly and year-end payroll process
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements as required.
  • Set and monitor team KPIs and driving continuous improvement
  • Provide expert advice on payroll queries and issues.
Qualifications
  • Solid technical knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and compliance.
  • Proven experience managing or supervising payroll teams in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to set clear objectives
  • High levels of MS Office competency.
  • CIPP qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
