Payroll Manager 6 month FTC position

Your new company
Our client is seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager to join their team on a 6-month FTC basis to cover business as usual duties.
Salary: £60-70k per annum depending on experience.

Your new role

  • Manage a team of experienced payroll administrators and payroll juniors.
  • Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made, payroll reconciliations carried out, and all legislative timescales are adhered to.
  • Mentor and train the less experienced team members.
  • Lead on all payroll-related projects.
  • Process high volume payroll from start to finish, including EPS & FPS, on a monthly basis with various complexities.
  • Process all statutory deductions.
  • Deal with escalated queries.
  • Complete RTI submissions, reports, and reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience of managing or supervising a payroll team.
  • Excellent current, technical payroll knowledge.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Experience of processing a manual payroll from start to finish.
  • Excellent systems and numerical skills.
  • A technically strong payroll professional who can lead by example and impart their in-depth payroll knowledge to the team.
