Salary:£65,000-£75,000
24-Month Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead an experienced team of payroll officers baesd in Farnborough on a 24-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the day-to-day payroll function while the current Payroll Manager is seconded onto a major internal project.

This is a hands-on payroll manager position that involves manual processes. This role will develop over the contract with systems improvements and T&A changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and internal policies
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate reporting
  • Manage payroll queries and provide support to employees and managers
  • Oversee a team of 6 experienced payroll professionals
  • Liaise with external providers, including pension and benefit partners
  • Support with year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar payroll management role
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys managing payroll operations independently and thrives in a collaborative, professional environment.
