Key Responsibilities

Manage and process 4–5 payrolls, covering around 500 employees, including part-time and variable-hours staff

Take full responsibility for the end-to-end payroll cycle, including data entry, calculations, and statutory submissions

Oversee pension administration and manage P11D reporting

Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain accurate, well-documented records

Collaborate with HR and finance colleagues to ensure smooth communication and consistent data accuracy

Provide payroll insight and support to managers across the organisation

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring confidence and clarity in all payroll matters

Person Specification

3–5 years’ experience managing payroll, with full end-to-end responsibility

Confident handling variable-hour and zero-hour contracts

Strong understanding of pensions and P11D requirements

Experience working across multiple payroll systems (iTrent experience advantageous but not essential)

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong communicator, able to work independently and collaboratively

UK-based payroll experience essential
