What You Will Do:
  1. Manage end–to–end payroll processing of monthly payroll, including starters, leavers, bonuses, benefits, holiday pay, and statutory payments.
  2. Ensure accuracy of employee records within Sage payroll, including personal details, pay rates, and deductions.
  3. Manage year–end process, including P60s, P11Ds, and HMRC submissions.
  4. Liaise with external payroll providers in Europe and the USA to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  5. Line manage the Payroll Officer, providing guidance, training, and development support.
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency within the payroll function.
What You Will Bring:
  1. Proven payroll experience in a medium or large company, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  3. Expertise in Sage Payroll systems is essential.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of HMRC UK tax legislation.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
