We're excited to welcome a detail-focused, people-minded Payroll Manager to our growing team here at Popeyes UK. In this role, you'll take full ownership of our payroll function, ensuring every payslip, pension payment, and benefit is delivered accurately, compliantly, and on time because our teams rely on us to get it right. What you'll be doing as our Payroll Manager
- Manage the full end-to-end payroll process, including postings to the General Ledger, documentation, and reconciliations.
- Take ownership of NIC 1A, P11D, and P60 processes.
- Monitor PAYE and pension requirements to ensure 100% compliance.
- Act as the first point of contact with our external payroll bureau and liaise with 3rd party payroll/pension providers.
- Handle internal and external payroll queries with efficiency and professionalism.
- Ensure all salaries, benefits, and pensions are correctly reported, paid, and allocated to the right cost centres.
- Complete reconciliations for PAYE, benefits, and pension payments.
- Produce payroll reports and ad-hoc analysis on employee costs for management.
- Keep up-to-date with payroll legislation, tax changes, and compliance regulations.
- Update monthly HQ payroll reporting schedules and post payroll journals to the General Ledger.
- Manage employee expenses across various platforms and assist with annual PSA completion.
- Calculate bonus payments and maintain supporting schedules.

- Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with posting journals to a General Ledger system.
- Have experience in a multi-site hospitality or retail environment.
- Are CIPP qualified or part-qualified (desirable, not essential).
