Payroll Manager Role at a Growing Accountancy Practice

TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join a growing firm of chartered accountants in Dover, Kent.

This is a hybrid position, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Our client is a growing, multi-sited accountancy practice with a good staff retention rate and a great work-life balance.

This role is suited to an experienced and technically competent Payroll Manager, Payroll Administrator, or Payroll Supervisor. The successful candidate will oversee payroll for around 130 clients and support the wider team and partners. There is also scope to get involved in other areas such as CIS and bookkeeping during quieter periods, depending on your experience and interests.

Our client uses BrightPay software and offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid or remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
  2. Support the team with payroll processes and benefits.
  3. Handle queries related to tax, benefits, salary, and allowances.
  4. Manage P11D’s and Annual Returns.
  5. Process CIS returns, P60s, P45s, start letters, and induction documentation.
  6. Act as a mentor and leader to junior team members.
  7. Have knowledge of statutory pay claims and processes.
  8. Contribute to the growth and development of the firm’s payroll services.
