Job Description

Step into the dynamic role of Payroll Manager and oversee the monthly payroll operation for our 4500 PortmanDentex colleagues. Embrace the exciting opportunity to refine and develop processes with our new payroll system, ensuring each stage is completed accurately and effectively. Be part of a small yet growing team that thrives on collaboration and innovation.

Having recently harmonized three payroll systems into one, this role offers the exciting opportunity to innovate and refine administrative processes and tools. The aim is to ensure streamlined, consistent, and centralized procedures across the department. The Payroll Manager will lead by example, championing a culture of inclusivity, best practices, and continuous improvement, while delivering exceptional service to all within PortmanDentex.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a payroll focused role, managing a large, high volume payroll for UK and ROI.
  • Thorough understanding of payroll processes and best practice, with ability to work independently in the role.
  • Managing payroll as a managed service so experience in managing a bureau from a customer perspective

We offer a hybrid working model that allows you to split your week between working from home, and our support office in Cheltenham. This will likely be 1 or 2 days a week in the office, with full flexibility around the days that work best for you, and the rest working from home. Our office is conveniently located opposite the racecourse entrance, and features a café on-site, free parking, and beautiful parkland surroundings.
