Job Title: NEW665 Payroll Lead – Mexico (Remote)
Client: Confidential (via Brabers Consultancy)
Location: Remote (Anywhere except Mexico)

Overview:A client of Brabers Consultancy is seeking an experienced Payroll Lead with deep expertise in Mexican payroll legislation and SAP PY to support their ongoing projects and sales activities. This role involves both strategic and hands-on responsibilities and is key to ensuring compliance, implementation success, and smooth payroll operations. The ideal candidate is not based in Mexico but has extensive experience with Mexican payroll.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the sales lifecycle by sharing insights into current payroll practices and legislation specific to Mexico.
- Act as a subject matter expert during pre-sales engagements, collaborating with sales and technical teams.
- Lead the implementation of complex payroll projects, covering all phases from planning to execution.
- Partner with technical teams to maintain and optimize payroll solutions in SAP.
- Ensure full compliance with Mexican payroll legislation, including rule and scheme configurations.
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing according to defined standards and client-specific requirements.
- Manage associated payroll tasks and transactions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide expertise on timekeeping, tax compliance, third-party integrations, and benefits processing.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from internal teams and clients, providing clear and compliant guidance.
- Assist the Operations Manager with client communications and engagement activities.
- Identify and address risks, escalations, and technical/functional issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive payroll data and issues.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:- SAP Consultant with strong Payroll (PY) knowledge specific to Mexico
- 4+ years of experience in Mexican payroll project implementations
- Proven expertise in legislation, configuration (rules/schemes), and technical payroll processes
- Ability to independently manage and lead all phases of payroll project implementation
- Strong knowledge of payroll dependencies and integrations (timekeeping, tax, benefits, etc.)
- Confident in resolving payroll-related issues and supporting escalations
- Skilled in identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in Spanish and English
Additional Information:- This is a remote position; candidates must not be located in Mexico.
