Job description

Are you an experienced payroll professional with a strong understanding of HR systems and a passion for technology-driven efficiency? We are seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to join our dynamic team. This fast-paced role requires a balance between employee-facing support, internal stakeholder engagement, and third-party vendor management, ensuring excellent service delivery at all times.

This role can be a hybrid based position based close to one of our office locations in either UK, Germany, Poland or Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Responsibilities (80%):

  1. Process payroll transactions daily for assigned locations across Europe.
  2. Manage payroll transformation projects, ensuring streamlined processes and compliance.
  3. Ensure accurate processing of Workday transactions and track changes for payroll purposes.
  4. Support Workday rollouts to improve service and enhance efficiencies.
  5. Conduct regular audits to maintain data accuracy and address discrepancies.
  6. Own the customer experience by responding to and resolving payroll-related queries promptly.
  7. Maintain payroll-related benefits records and liaise with suppliers where required.
  8. Provide support for compensation tasks and periodic Workday audits.
  9. Ensure payroll execution and governance across multiple European entities.
  10. Ensure compliance with local regulations, taxation laws, and legislative reporting requirements.
  11. Manage all time data entry, including leave payouts and overtime requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  12. Prepare payroll-related reports and collaborate with Finance for accurate financial records.

HR Responsibilities (20%):

  1. Oversee fleet management, coordinating vehicle ordering, maintenance, and vendor communication.
  2. Support Core HR functions in Germany, contributing to HR process development and implementation.
  3. Ensure compliance with local labour laws and HR policies.
  4. Act as an HR Business Partner, providing effective advice and support to department and division heads.
  5. Support performance and talent development processes, as well as engagement and change initiatives.
  6. Serve as a Power User & Trainer for employees in the local HR system.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Solid experience in payroll processing and compliance across European countries.
  2. Strong understanding of HR systems, particularly Workday.
  3. Experience in payroll transformation and process optimization.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, managers, and external vendors.
  6. Knowledge of local labour laws and HR best practices, particularly in Germany.
  7. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, from payroll processing to HR support.
