Overview

My client is a non–profit organisation based in the Northwest who are recruiting a Payroll & HR Assistant to join their established HR team. This role involves getting involved in all aspects of payroll alongside HR and working closely with an external payroll bureau. This role is perfect for someone looking to work remotely and delve into a HR career path.


Responsibilities

Your duties will include:



  • Conducting payroll responsibilities such as time & attendance processing

  • Solving high volume queries

  • Processing high volume starters & leavers

  • Communicating payroll legislation & knowledge to the wider business and liaising with various departments

  • Working closely with an external payroll bureau to assist payroll processing


Requirements


  • Strong experience in the payroll industry

  • Willingness to travel to sites nationwide when required

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Knowledge or keen understanding of HR responsibilities

  • A practical understanding of confidentiality and data protection legislation

  • Reliable knowledge of payroll and pensions legislation to solve high volume queries

  • Experience of processing payroll end to end
