Payroll & Finance Assistant - Padstow - £: Negotiable DOE

Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively reengaged by a well-established and highly reputable manufacturing business located near Padstow, seeking to recruit a Payroll & Finance Assistant to join their accounting team. This is a permanent, full-time role, although part-time hours may be considered by mutual agreement. The position will be based at the company's headquarters on the outskirts of Padstow.

The role involves working closely with an experienced Finance Manager, primarily focusing on payroll administration, both weekly and monthly. The successful candidate will support all aspects of payroll operations and perform ad-hoc finance duties, including:

1. Maintaining payroll records
2. Administering new starters and leavers on the Sage payroll system
3. Processing RTI submissions
4. Ensuring compliance with current regulations
5. Handling employee payroll queries
6. Administering P60s, P45s, P11Ds, and processing SSP/SPP payments
7. Assisting the finance team with accounts payable/receivable, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations

We are seeking a payroll professional with at least 12 months of recent experience in a similar setting. Candidates with backgrounds in commercial, NFP, or practice-based payroll will be considered. The role offers a competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
