Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-focused Payroll & Finance Support specialist in Banbury to manage payroll lifecycle weekly and monthly, generate cost reports, and resolve Time & Attendance queries. You will maintain data accuracy across payroll systems and support financial administration with a drive for continuous improvement.

The role requires strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll, finance, administration, or a similar detail-focused office environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Confident use of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organised, analytical and proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly and monthly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
• Produce payroll, finance, and customer reports, including weekly costings and reconciliation activities.
• Act as the first point of contact for payroll and Time & Attendance queries, resolving issues within agreed service levels.
• Maintain payroll and Time & Attendance systems, ensuring all employee data, rates of pay, and records are accurate and up to date.
• Support the Finance function with purchase orders, reporting requirements, financial administration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
