Butler Rose is seeking a Payroll & Credit Control Assistant to provide temporary support within the finance team. The role covers both payroll processing and credit control tasks, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have prior payroll and credit control experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while communicating effectively with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in payroll and credit control is essential.
• Confident managing financial information and working accurately to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication skills, with the confidence to deal with payroll queries and customer payment issues.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring employee information is accurate and up to date.
• Supporting payroll queries and resolving discrepancies where required.
• Managing credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments.
• Monitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate records.
• Allocating payments and reconciling accounts where necessary.
• Communicating with customers and internal teams regarding outstanding balances and payment queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team with general administrative duties.
