Job description

We are working with a great business based in York to help find a fantastic payroll coordinator to join their team on a temporary, fixed term basis. Do you feel like you can step into a business and make an immediate impact? You do?- then read on!

Payroll Co-ordinator - What you’ll be doing

  • Running end-to-end payroll processes across multiple pay runs

  • Processing starters, leavers, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)

  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders

  • Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies

  • Reconciling payroll data and liaising with HR and finance

  • Supporting with reporting, audits, and process improvements

Payroll Co-ordinator - What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a payroll-focused role

  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto-enrolment

  • Confident using payroll software (Sage, ADP, or similar)

  • Excel proficiency and good overall systems literacy

  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills

  • A discreet, process-driven team player who can work independently

Payroll Co-ordinator - What’s on offer
