Job description

If you are a Payroll professional looking for a new position in and around the Featherstone area of Wakefield this could be the perfect role for you.

As Payroll Coordinator you will have a keen eye for numbers, love solving problems, and want to be part of a company that truly values its people, if that sounds of interest this role is for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the full payroll cycle using Miracle Pay

  • Resolve payroll queries by liaising with employees and external providers

  • Process overtime, private mileage, and lodge allowances

  • Handle statutory documents (P45s, P60s, P11Ds) and assist with year-end tasks

  • Manage statutory payments like SMP, SSP, SPP and pension deductions

  • Process Attachment of Earnings and other employee deductions

  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and ensure full compliance

  • Contribute to payroll-related admin and project support

We would be keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Prior payroll experience is essential

  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn

  • Great communication skills and a team-player mindset
