We’re working with a well-established business in Wakefield to find an experienced Payroll Coordinator for a 6-month fixed-term contract. If you’re confident managing payroll processes and can get up to speed quickly, this could be a great fit.

Payroll Co-ordinator - What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinating end-to-end payroll across multiple pay runs

  • Managing starters, leavers, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)

  • Resolving payroll queries from staff and managers

  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll legislation

  • Supporting payroll reporting and reconciliations

  • Liaising with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth processes

Payroll Co-ordinator - What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a payroll-focused role

  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation

  • Confident using payroll systems (e.g. Sage, ADP, or similar)

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Organised, reliable, and a clear communicator
