Overview

This globally recognized retail client operates over 300 locations across the UK and Ireland. We are seeking a Payroll Co-ordinator to join them on a full-time permanent basis, 5 days a week, Hybrid to include 3 days in the office in Chelmsford and 2 from home. You will report to the Payroll Manager and work closely with the Payroll assistant.

Responsibilities
  • Support payroll processing and assist the Payroll Manager and Payroll Assistant as required.
  • Prepare year-end returns.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilise payroll/HRIS systems and maintain data integrity.
  • Assist with ongoing accuracy, deadlines, and workload prioritisation.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience in a UK Payroll position.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general Office tools.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in preparing year-end returns.
