Payroll Clerk

Telford

Permanent

Mon - Fri - 36.5 hours per week

Salary - £24,000 - £26,000

Our extremely well-established client in Telford has asked us to recruit for a Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis. This is a lovely, varied accounts role based in a picturesque setting.

As Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  1. Processing monthly payroll.
  2. Checking holiday and sickness records and ensuring compliance with necessary statutory regulations.
  3. Cost analysis.
  4. Preparation of payroll related payments, pensions etc.
  5. Post payroll journal.
  6. Cash and bank entries.
  7. Prepare and share weekly labour costings with departments.
  8. Month end journals - including payroll accrual.
  9. Raise sales invoices.
  10. Accounts receivable.
  11. Perform payroll, AR balance sheet reconciliations.
  12. Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a similar role including payroll. You will need strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word and experience of using Sage payroll and a time and attendance system would be an advantage.
