Job Description

  • End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll, including new starters, leavers, timesheets, pension, and HMRC submissions.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential recording of wages, salaries, and HR information in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Resolve payroll queries promptly.
  • Make statutory deductions in accordance with legislation and ensure liabilities are paid timely.
  • Record pension information accurately and submit returns and payments to relevant authorities (HMRC, Pensions, etc.).
  • Handle other payroll-related tasks as needed.
  • Provide HR administration for all employment matters, ensuring high standards in partnership with the finance team.
  • Gather data for new starters and leavers, including eligibility to work and other HR duties.
  • Maintain accurate HR records such as sickness, lateness, absenteeism, and report issues to management.
  • Store confidential information securely, complying with GDPR.
  • Review and update contracts, policies, and staff handbooks regularly to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate MUST:

  • Have payroll experience - Essential
  • Be an excellent communicator at all levels - Essential
  • Have excellent organizational skills and meet strict deadlines - Essential
  • Be up to date with UK payroll legislation - Desirable
