Job summary

A regional recruitment agency is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join a client in Walsall. This temporary to permanent role requires experience in payroll processing using Sage 50, checking timesheets, and general administration tasks. Ideal candidates will possess attention to detail and be familiar with payroll regulations. Salary is £13.46 per hour, and hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SSP/maternity/paternity pay regulations requires.

We are currently recruiting a accounts and payroll assistant to work with our client based in Walsall.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Checking and calculating timesheets
  2. Running weekly payroll through Sage 50 system
  3. Updating HRMC details and submissions
  4. Using payroll and pension portals
  5. Knowledge of SSP/maternity/paternity pay, etc.
  6. Managing purchase ledger, inputting and checking statements
  7. Assisting credit control with invoices, chasing payments, and queries
  8. Performing general admin duties
