Payroll Assistant

Hamilton Woods is partnering with a West Yorkshire-based client seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and confidence working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with processing high-volume weekly payrolls.
  2. Process timesheets, holiday requests, and holiday pay.
  3. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with HMRC legislation.
  4. Process payroll deductions in accordance with regulations.
  5. Utilize payroll systems such as Profile, Tempaid, Access, and P&B following established procedures.
  6. Handle payroll-related queries via phone and email.
  7. Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain confidentiality.
  8. Process payroll invoices and send them to clients.
  9. Support other Head Office operations as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Strong customer service skills.
  2. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  3. Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
  4. Basic understanding of HMRC legislation.
  5. Proficiency in Excel and payroll software familiarity.
  6. High attention to detail and accuracy.
