Are you looking to begin an exciting career in payroll? We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Assistant at our vibrant Discovery Park office. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and build a solid foundation in a supportive and professional environment.

About The Role
  • Conduct payroll processing for an allocated portfolio of clients, with flexibility to extend to other clients during peak demand
  • Read and process client payroll data, fulfill data requests, and review for completeness
  • Escalate complex payroll queries to Senior staff or above
  • Maintain regular communication with the Payroll Assistant Manager/line manager regarding progress and workload
  • Conduct pension enrolments and re-enrolment compliance
  • Manage payroll impact logs
  • Complete BACS entries
  • Process HMRC information
  • Monitor budgets and timelines to ensure adherence to project frameworks
  • Track work progress and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Send completed work for review by Senior staff or above
  • Assist in preparing bills and WIP reviews accurately and timely
  • Perform self-assessment reviews for each payroll job upon completion
  • Act as a key contact for nominated clients, managing their payroll requirements and data collection
  • Update client lists regularly
  • Respond to calls and correspondence within deadlines, ensuring commitments are met
