Payroll Assistant

Salary £27,000 - £29,000 p/a based on experience.

Our client is a well-established and well respected Charted Accountancy Practice based in Harrogate. They are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their friendly team who provide high quality accounting, audit and tax services to their clients.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for clients, ensuring compliance with statutory payments for PAYE/NIC, pensions, and other legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting, audit, and tax teams to provide seamless service to clients.
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed.
  • Utilise specific payroll software (training provided) to manage payroll processes efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of payroll-related documents.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Payroll Processing (minimum 2 years is essential to be considered).
  • Experience in Bright Pay software is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and work effectively within a team.
