A Top 60 Practice firm, based in Ipswich are looking to add a Payroll Assistant to their enthusiastic and hardworking team. The role will involve running several payrolls for a wide range of clients, including retail, charities and education, and ranging from single director companies, all the way to several hundred employees.

As a Payroll Assistant you will:

  1. Complete the whole payroll processing from start to completion for a range of clients.
  2. Resolving any client questions, whilst maintaining strong relationships throughout.

As a Payroll Assistant you will need:

  1. To be able to work in a methodical manner, with excellent attention to detail throughout.
  2. A competence of Microsoft Office - especially Word and Excel.
  3. A high level of understanding in Auto Enrolment pensions, Statutory Accounts, Holiday Pay entitlements, Minimum wage legislation, and a basic understanding of HR law.
  4. A confidence when working with clients and 3rd parties.
  5. A good level of judgement when identifying situations that need managerial interventions.
