Job description

I am working with a well-known Fylde Coast Client who are looking for an experienced and driven Payroll Assistant to join their well-established team. This is more than just a numbers role - it's a chance to be part of an organisation who are entrenched in tradition and culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for over employees, with a laser focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Making smart, considered decisions to ensure payroll runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Managing absence tracking and calculations, including statutory payments including SMP, SSP and long term sickness
  • Handling timesheets, attachments of earnings, and employee benefit administration (pensions, childcare vouchers, etc.).
  • Being a go-to expert - supporting colleagues with payroll queries and working with stakeholders across the business.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of the payroll inbox and ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
  • Supporting wider team initiatives and ad hoc projects within the Payroll & Benefits function.

Who You Are:

  • Detail-driven with at least 3 years payroll experience and a genuine passion for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Analytical, organised, and confident when it comes to working with data and systems.
  • A proactive problem-solver who's not afraid to take initiative and improve processes.
  • A team player who takes pride in being a trusted source of knowledge and support.

On Offer :

  • Competitive salary c 30k
  • 25 days holiday plus bonus (paid annually)
